 My name is Claudia Gonzalez and I'm originally from McAllen, Texas. I came to Fort Worth to study psychology and religion at Texas Christian University.
I learned about Fortress through TCU LEAPS, a big service day offered every semester. I fell in love immediately! Shortly after, I volunteered at the Fortress auction and by the spring, became a mentor in the Ignite program. It took a few months of persistent offers from the staff, but eventually I agreed to be an intern for Summer JAM.
I cannot imagine having done anything else with my summer. Spending all that time with the kids made it pretty clear that I would love to stay on to be the Math Lab Facilitator. I would love to stay here as long as they'll have me!
