My name is Michelle (or MC Hammer). I grew up in Sugar Land, Texas and graduated from high school in 2008. I am now a senior at Texas Christian University studying Early Childhood Education with an emphasis on Special Education.
I started off at Fortress as a mentor in the Ignite program and fell in love. During Summer JAM, I interned in the Reading Lab. I was asked to stay on for the school year and will be working in the new Enrichment Lab, helping kids with homework and other fun stuff. I feel so blessed to be a part of Fortress and I am so excited to see where this next step takes me.
