I first came to Fortress YDC as a volunteer in 2003. I often worked on special events and creative projects for Fortress, and was offered a staff position doing those very things in the fall of 2008. I love my job! I truly feel passionate about the work and I do and the programs I support, and I thank God faithfully for the opportunities He laid in my path that brought me to this place.

As Director of Communications and Development, I get to use my gifts and hobbies to their fullest, writing and designing brochures, newsletters, manuals, grants, marketing materials, website and social medias, and  planning campaigns and special events. I get to meet and work with people from all walks of life and help them discover how their support can benefit not only Fortress, but themselves as well.

I'm exceptionally proud of my kids.  Dani (who is a college student) pulls double duty as Fortress's Volunteer Coordinator and Summer JAM Director. Aidan (11) and Ian (10) keep our home busy and happy with their boundless energy and contagious joy. I enjoy traveling with my family, the mountains, game nights with friends, snow cones, fresh flowers, crossword puzzles, happy hour Diet Vanilla Coke at Sonic, playing with paper, glue and paint, and live music.

“…Live a life worthy of the calling you have received.” -Ephesians 4:1
